Louis, Rene, and I drove to Wilmington, DE on Friday, Mar. 16 to visit the Hagley Museum, the first home of the DuPont family after they arrived in America in 1800 to start a gunpowder mill.
Saturday and Sunday we spent at Winterthur, a massive museum and gardens founded by the fifth generation of the DuPonts.
Also had Sunday lunch at the Inn at Montchanin Village's Krazy Kat restaurant. The village housed workers in the DuPont industries, and has now been restored as an inn and spa. Beautiful. http://www.montchanin.com/
I don't seem to have taken any photos of the trip. WHAT A LAPSE. Sorry.
